What does a Personal Trainer actually do?
Question asked by Dave
Well it depends on the Personal Trainer, as some only show you exercises and count sets/reps. I will actually meet with you and obtain as much information as possible about your goals and lifestyle. When I'm fully clear on what you hope to achieve, I design a personal periodised training program and will show you exactly how to do everything you need to do. I can also design a full nutritional diet plan that fits into your lifestyle. Most typical training sessions last an hour. However, I'm always accessible via phone and e-mail for any of my clients to provide unlimited support and advise. What you should expect from a Personal Trainer is motivation, enthusiasm, professionalism, politeness, punctuality, relevant qualifications, insurances to safe guard a client and for them to be associated to governing bodies (REPs &/or NRPT).
